Meet the Team Behind the Ministry
Welcome to Battle Plans Ministry, a ministry that goes after the one. Our only goal is to reach one more person, impact one more life, and to plant one more seed of faith, because one lost soul is one lost soul too many.
Our team is made up of passionate Christians who are dedicated to spreading the word of God and helping others find their way to Him. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience God's love and grace, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality.
Our mission is to inspire and empower people to live a life of purpose, joy, and fulfillment through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Director of Battle Plans Ministry, Laura McKnight,
“I am a survivor of child physical & sexual abuse,
medical neglect as a child resulting in surgeries,
foster care abuse: mental, physical, sexual, & spiritual,
domestic abuse: mental, physical, & sexual.
A survivor of sexual abuse from gang members & pimps,
bullying to the point I attempted suicide a numerous of times, and human trafficking in several states beginning from when I was 13-14 years old and ending when I was 28 years old.
I have beat addictions such as Ecstasy, Molly, Cocaine, Crack, & Meth. I have beat homelessness, overcome so many hurtles and battles that life threw at me.
The difference between other people is, I used the battles thrown at me as momentum & ammunition to gain a better life. I went into a residential discipleship sobriety program, began seeking counseling & trauma therapy. Worked with mentors, attended classes and workshops.
I found my identity in my relationship with the Lord and was transfigured.
Through my healing process I was able to forgive my parents, my siblings, my abusers, my traffickers, and all the other people that had hurt me or let me down along the way.
I learned boundaries and gained my God-fidance. I now have the honorable prayer of a ministry that I would like to open within the next 3-5 years. To not only allow survivors to receive trauma therapy and counseling, but to allow them to have a safe place (12-18 months) for them to re-find & re-build themselves.
A place where they can find God, through a discipleship-based curriculum, fellowship, worship, and prayer. To learn life skills and job training, mentor workshops, gardening, preparing and cooking meals for themselves, crafts such as painting, scrapbooking, beading, and wood shops.
To attend bible studies and services, to attend a faith-based recovery class, To learn the true meaning of being loved & learning to love others as Christ.
As well as to have a chance to help their community via community outreach & volunteer opportunities within the neighborhood, & so much more.
Mission Statement of Battle Plans Ministry & safe house:
We believe everyone is entitled to a safe life of freedom from harm and in the Lord.
We have the priority goal of making and maturing disciples of Christ who glorify him through testimonies, purpose, life, spirit, and actions.
We are passionate about loving Jesus, and loving others to healing through Jesus Christ.
Our desire is to teach our students to grow in the knowledge of God, who he is, what his character is, how he love us and how we can love others through his grace & mercy.
To teach them of Jesus Christ & his sacrifice, to make a commitment to Jesus and how to stay faithful to it.
To grow in fellowship with the Holy Spirit & the body of Christ, to learn what it means to fish for men & to do so in alignment with the word of God, as well as to grow in comprehension & wisdom of God, his word, his spirit, and his will for our lives.
We believe all people were created in Gods image & were designed specifically to live in relationship with God.
I genuinely feel this to be such an honorable testimony and mission. I am praying that through this letter, you will be inspired to support this mission and ministry in any capacity you’re able to.
